For the last twenty years, the Swiss musical scene has been present at this forum, with its joint stand representing Swiss music publishers, producers, organisers and artists, each with their newest productions. Their presence at the MIDEM has been made possible by financial contributions from the SUISA Foundation, SUISA, IFPI Switzerland, the Business Network Switzerland OSEC, SwissLife and Presence Switzerland.

In order to ensure the promotion of Swiss music, and especially to confirm its reputation abroad, the Swiss Foundation for Music created a music club at the Intercontinental Carlton Hotel in the year 2000. For three evenings, top level artists perform in front of an international audience of professionals. The club atmosphere surrounding these shows is comfortable and relaxing. Thanks to its music club in Cannes, Switzerland has created a much appreciated and highly successful event which has drawn the attention of the musical world. Press reactions have been extremely favourable. Le Temps wrote Switzerland raises the tone on the music market, or the MIDEM-News Switzerland’s finest music at the Carlton. The club is held in high esteem by the management of the MIDEM, and has been awarded the label OFFICIAL MIDEM SWISS MUSIC CLUB: a magnificent token of recognition in honour of good music.
